A sister painting to ‘Hengistbury Twinkling II’, this pair were inspired by the beautiful Hengistbury head in Christchurch, Dorset, looking out towards the Isle of Wight on England’s south coast. Offering solitude for many, this magical setting provides feelings of wild expanse. A place to breathe. Layers of various blues, warm ochres and rich cadmium orange are used to depict the welcoming warmth this place exudes.

The piece works well individually or as a pair.
